A massive massive thank-you to all our supporters and funders over the last 12 years. KindleWoods has always been about finding ways to hear people - to listen to what is important and valuable to each person, to let their gifts be seen and to shine, to be encouraged and have the confidence to know that what they need and think is important. It's where ideas, creativity and motivation comes from. Seeds of ideas within our minds, which all too often we can dismiss as unimportant.

KindleWoods was one of those ideas. It was many little ideas of what feels valuable. About what is worth shouting about and standing up for. They were both mine and many of the people who became part of the project, championing those little moments for other people too, to help celebrate their own ideas, reasons and sense of meaning in the world. I am most proud of that, of how we made decisions and created the project based on what we felt was important.

Rob said to me a few months ago "there isn't one decision we made, that I'm not proud of". Which is quite a statement and took me back a bit (remembering the eek moments when I was stood in a field covered in mud and rain and questioning my life choices!) But it's true. Our commitment to hearing people, seeing peoples strengths and moving the project forward together created something which was quite wonderful to be a part of. Those woodland moments, the quiet rustle of the trees and dappled sunlight, and moments of people seeing themselves, perhaps for the first time, realising their worth, realising their place.

We haven't completely closed the project, but we are making KindleWoods dormant. I am so unbelievable greatful for the experiences the project has given me and the depth of the journey along the way. I have always believed that it isn't KindleWoods per se, but the importance of the ideas behind the project, those little moments, of what is valuable. Those belong to each one of us, and we can all take those forward in whatever way feels right to us.          With lots of love, Katie x
